Who are we?
CARRIÈRES UNIES DE PORPHYRE
CUP in short
For over 70 years, Carrières Unies de Porphyre have been producing and marketing high quality aggregates. These aggregates are supplied to the roadworks market (asphalt), the railway market (railway ballast) and the concrete market.
The company currently operates 3 quarries: Lessines, Bierghes and Baileux. A wide product range from these quarries is marketed in France, in Belgium and in Germany.
Since 2006, the CUP company has been part of the EUROVIA group, a branch of the VINCI group. It is one of the world leaders in road infrastructure and urban planning. It is also one of the main European suppliers of road materials.

As Director, I undertake to personally implement all the concrete actions that will enable us to achieve our objective. This objective is reflected in our policy through our commitments: compliance, consistency, trust, competence, responsiveness, adaptability, accountability, improvement… all values that help us progress towards operational excellence.
In this endeavour, I am supported by Mr Sébastien Plaitin, Quality, Prevention and Environment Coordinator, and by a management team whose exemplary conduct, exacting standards and discipline must be beyond reproach.
